The Morgan City Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place at a local business earlier this evening.
According to a post on the department's Facebook page, police received a call around 7 p.m. on Friday of an armed robbery that had occurred on Advance America.
The investigation is still in its initial stage, police say.
Police added that an unknown male entered the business with a weapon and with his face covered. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
No injuries were reported.
