Aetna Better Health Louisiana in partnership and Second Harvest Food Bank of Lafayette, are to host a food drive to those affected by Hurricane Barry.

With the support of Mayor Eugene P. Foulcard, non-perishable meal packages will be distributed to the first 600 victims to arrive at the Broussard Harris Recreation Center on Thursday, August 1st, 2019 from 1-3 P.M.

According to a release from the company, part of Aetna Better Health of Louisiana’s core belief is caring about the health of people in their communities, this includes their day to day lives. In St. Mary’s parish, many were affected by flooding and damage to their homes. Aetna Better Health Louisiana understands the difficulty during the aftermath of a storm. The hope is that this event will not only support the community but give hope to families so they may continue to focus on their health as they rebuild.
