Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agents rescued a bear cub from a tree in Patterson on Saturday. A KATC viewer sent us some photos of the bear and said the tree was in a residential area of town.

Vining said that Wildlife and Fisheries rescued the cub, and a spokeswoman for the Patterson Police Department confirmed that the bear was rescued from the tree.
The spokeswoman said LDWF will relocate the bear to a safe location.
