In St. Martin Parish, the City of Parks is taking extra precaution when it comes to sanitizing equipment at their community park, despite it being closed to the public.
The Mayor says the disinfecting is in preparation for when the time does come to reopen.
"We have to be concerned about the public once the parks opens, that come out here to enjoy themselves," explained Mayor Kevin Kately. "We want to make sure our parks are clean and safe - our restrooms, pavilions, playground equipment. Because its going to effect everybody."
