Foodservice technicians work tirelessly to prepare meals for our children during the school year.
A St. Martinville woman is receiving some recognition for all of her hard work during this pandemic. Tammy Belaire has not only worked hard on campus, but also in her community during this pandemic.
Belaire was recently named Southwest Regional Employee of the Year by the School Nutrition Association. She is a foodservice technician at St. Martin Parish Early Learning Center. Belaire said she was honored to receive the award.
"I was so excited to receive the award," Belaire added. "We love our children. We love to feed our children. They come in with a smile, they leave with a smile. They come back with another smile, and they make our day just as well."
