Representatives with Republic Services will attend another council meeting to address trash concerns, this time in St. Martin Parish.

St. Martinville councilman Mike Fuselier invited a representative from the waste company to Tuesday night's city council meeting. Exactly what concerns would be addressed by the council and representative were not known.

In August, Republic went in front of the Lafayette City-Parish Council at the request of councilwoman Liz Hebert to discuss ongoing issues with the company. Those issues included missed collection dates and trucks leaking hydraulic fluid and "trash juice" onto roadways, according to Hebert.

During that meeting, Republic Services acknowledged it had not lived up to the standard when it came to trash pickup in Lafayette.

The St. Martinville City Council meeting begins at 6:00 pm at City Hall.
