St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge hosted a back to school picnic today.
The event was held after 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday.
There was music and food, and all students, teachers and school personnel were all invited to attend.
"I think it is important for us at the beginning of the school year to kind of relax at the end of the summer," said Father Garrett Mcintyre. "Take a little breath, just to get ready to be focused on the school year."
