A visual, turned into a sketch will now become a logo on many T-shirts in Acadiana. Being inspired by others taking initiative, Kayla Simon, part owner of KSquared Creative Company wanted to join the efforts of giving back to local business.
“Stand together, stay apart. Just going through the creative process trying to come out with a visual," said Kayla Simon.
The creation is going to be placed on many shirts with the help of Gator Graphics in Breaux Bridge.
“Seeing my friends, family, and people I constantly support suffer, I wanted to find a way I could help," said Simon.
Every time someone purchases a shirt, they have the option to insert the name of the local business they want to support to ensure the proceeds will go to that business alone.
"Instead of giving the proceeds to one non-profit or one organization, we’re able to help other non-essential business benefit from this shirt that we’ve created," said Simon.
Although the doors might be closed, KSquared will be available by phone, and will monitoring their Facebook page for everyone who wants to get involved.
“So, I’m hoping these funds can help them put it toward their employees or maybe a bill just to keep their shop. It's very important that this is just a pause in their business and not the end," said Simon.
