Henderson is one step closer to getting a new town hall.
Capital outlay funding was recently approved for the project.
More than $700,000 will be used to refurbish an older building donated by Farmers Merchants Bank and Trust or build a new structure.
Mayor Sherbin Collette told KATC, "This building here is pretty much antique. You can see on the walls, there's cracks on the walls. And the space...we're moving forward and this building cannot handle it."
