Becket Breaux came out on top of Brian Douglas Theriot and Buz Leblanc in the race to be the next sheriff in St. Martin Parish.
Breaux had 60% of votes in the parish. He was followed by Brian Douglas Therio, who had 30% of votes in his favor.
Breaux wanted to thank his family and the lord for a successful campaign. He says he had the most experience and was best suited for the role. When asked what he would like people to know about him on the final day of campaigning, Breaux said, "There is one specific thing. If you're a drug dealer I'm going to find you and I'm going to arrest you because our parish needs to be safe."
