Water main breaks; part of Opelousas under boil advisory

OPELOUSAS — A broken water main has left parts of the city without water early Thursday morning. According to Mayor Julius Alsandor, areas northeast of Attakapas Drive and north of Prudhomme Lane will be under a boil advisory once water is restored. Alsandor tells KATC that crews are on scene to fix the break. No word on when those repairs will be completed.
