The Town of Leonville Water System is conducting maintenance on a line that has resulted in a boil advisory.

A new water line is being tied into an existing water line that feeds J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home. Water in the area has to be turned off in order to do this.

The boil advisory is NOT for the entire water system, but only the areas listed below.

  • 797 Main St. In Arnaudville, traveling towards Leonville on Oscar Rivette Road.
  • Including Live Oak Road and Northwood Acres, up to 883 Oscar Rivette Road.

Because of the maintenance issues, the water produced will be of questionable quality.

As a precaution, the Town of Leonville is issuing a boil advisory effective immediately.

The advisory will remain in effect until rescinded by the Town of Leonville Water System.

It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it.

The Town will rescind the boil advisory upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Office of Public Health that water samples have shown our water to be safe.
