St. Landry Parish families may get some relief from school fees soon, the Daily World reports.
The newspaper reported that a committee appointed by the School Board to review the various fees charged to public school students has finalized its recommendation.
The recommendation will have to be approved by the state and then by the full board before it is finalized, the paper reports.
The proposal would limit elementary school fees to $25 annually; with a $45 cap for seventh and eighth grade and $50 for high schoolers, the Daily World reports.
