Customers with Plaisance Water System in Opelousas will have their water shut off on Wednesday for repairs, officials say.
Water will be shut off at 10 a.m., and the repairs are expected to last around 4-5 hours. Officials hope to have water restored by 3 p.m.
The shut off is necessary to repair a water main break.
The system will be under a boil water advisory once the water is back on.
