Eunice Police are working to solve two recent shootings.

Two people, both men, suffered minor injuries and were treated and released from a local hospital, police say.

The shootings happened a day apart, and investigators believe they may be related.

The problem is, no witnesses have come forward and the victims won't even cooperate, Chief Randy Fontenot said. The location of each shooting hasn't even been determined, because the physical evidence doesn't match the reports, he said.

However, investigators have narrowed down the shootings to the same neighborhood, with one probably happening near South Beulah and East Maple, and the other around South MLK and Maple, and Benoit and Maple.

Detectives learned of one shooting when the hospital where the man went to for treatment called police, Fontenot said. The other was learned of when residents called to report hearing shots fired, he said.

If anyone has information about either shooting, please call Eunice Police at 337-457-2626.
