Elementary and high school students got the chance to learn more about engineering majors and careers at an event held on UL's campus Wednesday.
The school's annual Engineering and Technology Expo has project demonstrations, chats with researchers and industry professionals, and advice on how to meet admission requirements.
Interim Dean of the College of Engineering at UL Ahmed Khattab explained what makes the day special for him.
"When I talk to a student who never thought of engineering and technology as a career at all, and actually came with the energy of 'No, I'm not going to be that,' and then at the end of the tour says, 'You know what, I changed my mind.'"
