The Scott City Council approved tonight's budget amendments to allow the police department to purchase new equipment.
With the budget approval, the police department should now receive new computers, a new vehicle with equipment, and new radios.
A council member said "we were more than happy to do that" for the department.
The police department will use money from the LACE program to purchase the new equipment.
