BATON ROUGE — The Senate Municipal Affairs Committee will discuss a proposed tax proposition for the City of Scott.
If approved by the legislature, Scott city leaders would be allowed to put a one-cent sales tax item on an upcoming ballot. Proceeds of the proposed one-cent tax would be equally divided between the city's fire and police departments.
