The Youngsville Beach Volleyball Complex is officially open.
A grand opening ceremony was held on Saturday, where the beach complex's name was officially revealed - Sugar Beach.
The complex features a total of five NCAA regulation sand volleyball courts, including one championship court.
It also features professional grade LED lighting, outdoor seating areas, restrooms, full concessions, and a cabana bar.
This weekend's events will include a LVL Juniors Beach Blast Off Tournament until 9:45 p.m. Saturday.
The following events are scheduled for Sunday:
- 8:00 am to 2:00 LVL Juniors Beach Blast Off Bracket Play and Finals
- 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm Adult Co-Ed Tournament
Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter said in a release, "This step solidifies our position as the premier sports complex in the region. It continues our tradition of offering excellent recreational opportunities while driving economic development."
