As a lot of extracurricular activities are on pause or canceled, teachers at Music Academy of Acadiana wanted to make sure their students were able to continue to do what they love.
For a little extra encouragement, they asked singer and actress, Mandy Moore to send some positivity to Louisiana.
"Hello students of the Academy of Acadiana. How are you," said Mandy Moore."
The staff at Academy of Acadiana were able to share the heart felt video with its students to show that even in hard times music brings comfort.
“Students and teachers were just thrilled about that, it was awesome. She’s even in the same situation at her house in California and that’s not too different from here, so if she’s learning music why can’t we," said Tim Benson.
Trying to reach students, Benson says they've implemented free live demo sessions via Facebook.
"We’re actually going to continue doing that, because we know there’s going to be a lot of people not sure what to do at home," said Benson.
