LAFAYETTE — The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office says that the man shot overnight in Duson has died.
Deputies say that at around 10:35 p.m. on January 27, 2019, they responded to the 300 block of Bopamo Lane in reference to a home invasion and shooting.
33-year-old Shenard Simmons of Duson a resident of the home was shot and killed. A second person who was at the residence was not injured.
No arrests have been made.
