LSU's interim president, Tom Galligan and members of the LSU Board of Supervisors were in Lafayette Tuesday to speak at a reception, where they spoke on future plans and priorities.
The reception, held at the City Club in River Ranch, hosted LSU alumni, civic and business leaders, and regional lawmakers. They discussed the upcoming year in regards to LSU and also priorities heading into the Legislative Session.
"We want to talk about the reinvestment in higher education that the governor has promised and why we need those things," explained Galligan, "And why they are important, why they are going to make us better tomorrow than we are today."
