The Lafayette Parish School System has issued a formal "thank you" to everyone involved in the Love Our Schools event this weekend.
Here's the full text of the statement:
"Interim Superintendent Irma Trosclair, on behalf of the board and the entire staff of the Lafayette Parish School System, would like to say thank you to the three thousand men, women, and children who have dedicated their time, money, and resources to make the Love Our Schools event such a huge success.
"None of it would have been possible without the partnership between the Lafayette Parish School System and the Love Our Schools Foundation, along it with its founders, sponsors, and supporters.
"We are truly grateful for the support we have received from this community. Again, thank you for all that you have done for the children and educators in our district."
