LAFAYETTE, La. — A local restaurant is taking care of healthcare workers in Lafayette by bringing them food at work.
LeBouef's Restaurant on Pinhook Road prepared and delivered over 80 meals to those working at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
"I want everyone to understand the challenges that the facilities are facing, as well as the employees," explained Cece Roman. "Once they go into work at the hospital, a lot of times they can't leave their unit because of the contagion concern. So by us bringing meals to them, it makes their day go a little bit easier."
The donation was organized by the Lafayette Ladies Tennis League, which has 912 members, who are trying to support local restaurants by purchasing meals from them and donating those meals to healthcare workers.
