Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory and area faith leaders will observe National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7, with a virtual service.
The service will be held at the Lafayette City-Parish Hall Atrium, located at 705 West University Avenue. Members of the public will not be allowed inside City-Parish Hall, but are encouraged to attend the service virtually.
The hour-long program will be streamed on the Lafayette Consolidated Government Facebook page. Following the program, Acadiana Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (AVOAD) will livestream on its Facebook page until 8 p.m., with faith-based leaders speaking every 15 minutes.
Thursday's virtual service begins at 8 a.m.
