LPD: 17-year-old injured in overnight shooting, police searching for suspect

Lafayette Police are searching for the suspect wanted in connection with an overnight shooting in Lafayette.

Police responded to a call of shots fired in the parking lot of a local banquet hall in the 200 block of S. St. Antoine Street on Friday around 11:30 p.m.

Witnesses told police a male victim was seen leaving the location. Officers located a 17-year-old male victim at a nearby residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Lafayette Police or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
