More businesses are being forced to close in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Hair and nail salons and tattoo parlors across Lafayette Parish are closing their doors after new restrictions effective Friday at midnight.

Mayor-President Josh Guillory announced Friday an executive order restricting non-medical personal services.

The new restrictions are because most of these businesses are not able to practice the social distancing method of at least six feet of space between people.
