Carencro High School celebrated 2020 graduates with a special parade on Saturday.

Administrators say they wanted to honor the students on what would have been the school's original graduation date.

Seniors were able to line up in their vehicles at the football stadium at CHS. The parade traveled to the Carencro Community Center. Carencro Police led the parade and ensured everyone's safety.

Graduates said they were feeling good and glad they could have a parade.

"I'm excited," said one. "Even though graduation isn't until July, I'm excited that we could still experience this today."

Residents gathered along the parade route to congratulate each participating graduate.
