A Christmas Eve candlelight service and live nativity was held tonight in Lafayette.
Members of the community gathered in Lafayette Memorial Park's Peace Chapel Mausoleum for the event.
Attendees were asked to bring an ornament in remembrance of a loved one.
"It's also for all the families who have lost loved ones over the year. They can come and they can have a place where they just come and celebrate the birth of Jesus," said Danny Delhomme, manager of Lafayette Memorial Cemetery.
