The City of Broussard lit up the town's Christmas tree this evening as residents celebrated Noel a Broussard.
Gates opened at 5:30 this evening. Mayor Bourque began a welcome speech, but was soon "interrupted" by fire trucks signaling Santa's arrival.
The Christmas tree was officially lit, marking the beginning of the town's holiday celebrations.
There were performances by several local groups, including students from Katharine Drexel Elementary and Martial F. Billeaud Elementary.
