LAFAYETTE — Three major items are on the Lafayette Parish School Board's agenda tonight.

The board will discuss the two candidates who applied to be the district's next superintendent. You can read more about that story by clicking here.

The board will also discuss using USDA funds to purchase classroom equipment and to make improvements to outdoor athletic facilities. That money was originally going to used to put portable buildings on the campus, but the school board voted last month to reverse that decision.

Acadian Middle's fifth grade classes are also on the agenda. The board will consider moving Acadian's regular fifth-grade classes to Live Oak Elementary. The board will also consider moving Acadian's fifth-grade English Language Learners' classes to Carencro Heights Elementary School.

The meeting begins tonight at 5:30 p.m.
