An investigation is ongoing into the cause of a fire in Lafayette Saturday afternoon.
Lafayette Fire PIO Alton Trahan tells KATC a structure that caught on fire in a field off of Johnston St. and Touchet Road was abandoned. There were no utlities connected to the structure.
Trahan said the investigation is ongoing by the Judice Police Department, who were the lead responders.
