Jeff Davis Parish confirms first case of COVID-19.
The Parish held a press conference Tuesday morning March 24, 2020, to announce that confirmation.
Health Officials say that the state website has not updated but that the case will eventually show up on the LDH website. Numbers update 12:00 p.m.
Officials ask that people remain at home if possible and social distance to stop any potential spread of COVID-19.
Details on where the case is in the parish was not disclosed.
The Parish currently has a curfew in place for all residents which began on Wednesday, March 18. The curfew is in effect from 11:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. until further notice.
