Louisiana Boiled Seafood in New Iberia set up a special experience for customers on Wednesday.

Owners contacted The Dinosaur Experience to bring a few of their Jurassic creatures to the restaurant for a night of food and fun.

The experience gave kids in the community the opportunity to interact with the dinosaurs and it was completely free for customers.

Social distancing measures were implemented, and organizers were careful with kids who may have been more vulnerable.

Owners of Louisiana Boiled Seafood Nick and Sarah Gravois say the event was a way to spread a little happiness to their younger customers (and help parents and kids get out of the house for a bit).

"It creates a gathering with smiles. It gets them out of the house. We've struggled before going to events, so if I can put taht out there for someone else's kids to be happy, then it's worth it."
