The town of Duson is coming together to help those in need in their community.
Volunteers woke up early Tuesday morning to pass out food and drinks to the elderly who can't leave their homes during this time.
Mayor Johnny Thibodeaux is urging his community to work with patience and perseverance.
"It's just a group effort from the town of Duson and we're just working as one. We're going to get over this. It's just going to take a little time," explained Thibodeaux.
