CROWLEY — The LSU Ag Center says this year's rice crops are growing much faster than last year's.
According to an Ag Center report, farmers took advantage of the warmer weather early this year and planted their crops. In fact, in the southwestern part of Louisiana, farmers did much of their planting in the last two weeks.
