The final day of 2019 is shaping up to be a good one with plenty of sunshine and temperatures staying cool and crisp.
We'll leave the sunshine in 2019, however, with clouds drifting in to the area on New Year's Day and eventually giving way to showers and storms on Thursday.
In the meantime temperatures on Tuesday will peak around 60 in the afternoon with lows expected to drop down to the upper 30s and lower 40s, winds out of the north at 5-10 mph.
New Year's Day will be a gloomy one with overcast skies and temperatures staying in the upper 50s, which will be good for those who are lounging around recovering from New Year's Eve.
Showers will arrive Thursday morning with moderate to heavy rainfall which could produce a few inches of rain and isolated severe storms can't be ruled out.
Any severe weather will be short lived and isolated.
