One Lafayette woman celebrated her 93rd birthday on Saturday in a special way.
Peggy Perret had her very own birthday parade down her street, complete with fire trucks and decorated cars and posters.
Her 10 kids, 25 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren wanted to make sure her birthday was celebrated despite the pandemic.
"Well, the celebration doesn't stop because we have a virus going on," said Ms. Perret's great-granddaughter Annie. "We're here to celebrate our grandmother, who is 93 years young today."
Annie said her grandmother's legacy is worth celebrating, despite the circumstances.
