LAFAYETTE, La — The generosity of a Lafayette Police Officer is circulating the internet.
Sgt. Wayne Griffin says Sgt. Forrest Blanton observed the man on the side of the road struck up a conversation with him. The officer offered to buy the man some groceries and he agreed.
Kevin Lyons posted on his Facebook page, "Cuddos to this city police officer for emptying a ton of groceries to this homeless guy!! So much respect for these guys and their jobs. God Bless to these guys that protect us!!!"
