Youngsville Police Chief recovering after testing positive for COVID-19

YOUNGSVILLE, La. — Youngsville Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux is recovering at home after testing positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.

Boudreaux said he went to the hospital on Friday to receive an antibody infusion to treat COVID-19 and was released later that night.

He said he began feeling better on Monday but still has some lingering symptoms. He is still in quarantine at his home.

The YPD administration office will be closed due to COVID-19 until Monday Jan. 25.

Patrol officers are still working 7 days a week 24 hours a day to keep our community safe, police say.

The Youngsville Magistrate’s court set for Wednesday January 20,2021 has been postponed until Wednesday February 24, 2021.
