Youngsville interior designer allegedly stole more than $40K from customers

YOUNGSVILLE, La. - The owner of an interior design business in Youngsville is accused of felony theft.

On June 23, 2020, the Youngsville Police Department was made aware that the owner of Nest Home Interiors was taking payments for furniture and interior designs from several customers and not providing the purchased items to the victims, according to Chief Rickey Boudreaux. The amounts were in excess of $ 40,000.

During the investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for the owner identified as Annette Searle Vidrine for the thefts.

The suspect was located in Hunt, Texas and taken into custody, Boudreaux stated. Vidrine has since been transported to the Lafayette Parish Jail and booked on the felony theft.

This is an ongoing investigation with additional charges expected. The Youngsville Police Department encourages any other victims to come forward and file a report with this agency.
