Work continues in the removal of concrete panels on the Buchanan Street parking garage that is at risk of falling.
Lafayette Consolidated Government crews were working on the near the mural painted on the side of the garage. Work began over ten days ago to remove two-and-a-half ton panels from the 40-year-old structure.
The parish council approved $400,000 to be spent on the project.
