Woodvale Book Parade
LAFAYETTE, La. - Students at Woodvale Elementary celebrated Read Across America and Dr. Seuss' Birthday Week with their annual Book Character Parade.
The parade promotes reading and students have the opportunity to dress as their favorite characters.
Parents and the community were invited to attend as students and staff celebrated their love of reading.
Read Across America which is a national program was created to help motivate children to read, bring the joys of reading to students of all ages, and make all kids feel valued and welcome.
