Waitr has joined the United Way of Acadiana in helping to feed families affected by Hurricane Laura.

A food drive has been launched to collect non-perishable food items to be delivered directly to the Lake Charles area.

Two Lafayette locations began accepting donations on Monday, September 14:

Waitr's Lafayette Headquarters
214 Jefferson Street
10:00 am to 3:00 pm (Monday through Friday for next two weeks)

Second Harvest Food Bank
215 E. Pinhook Road
8:00 am to 4:00 pm (weekdays)

Monetary donations will also be accepted through the Waitr app and Waitr website or through the United Way website.

Cleaning supplies and baby products will be accepted at the Waitr headquarters location on Jefferson Street.

Waitr also recently partnered with local restaurants to collect essential supplies to be delivered to the Lake Charles area.

According to a release, employees have made several trips to the area to bring truckloads of supplies to families in need.
