Project Front Yard is asking for Lafayette Parish residents to volunteer for their annual Trash Bash.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 4, from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm.

LCG says volunteers are needed to help beautify the city and parish by cleaning streets, parks, and waterways. Groups can choose sites within the parish to clean up litter.

There is no cost to participate in the event and volunteers can register online at Eventbrite.

A free lunch with live music "bash" will take place at 11:30 am following the cleanup.

Volunteers can meet up at the Bayou Vermilion District's Begnaud House, across from the Beaver Park Pavilion, on Saturday to pick up supplies. The house will also be the location for the after cleanup bash.

Items like gloves, litter bags, litter grabbers and high visibility vests will be provided.

Volunteers can also arrange to pick up supplies prior to the event at the Recycling Office on Dugas Road in Lafayette.

For more information or help identifying a clean-up site, contact the Recycling Office at 337.291.5637 or recycling@lafayettela.gov.
