LAFAYETTE, La. — A group of volunteers is on the look out to give masks and hand sanitizer to people in need.

A crew of volunteers stopped by St. Joseph's Diner in Lafayette on Wednesday to hand out the supplies.

They said that it's important right now for everyone to pool their resources to pitch in and help out those in need.

"We're always thinking how we can help people," said James Parker, a veteran and volunteer. "We do a lot of community service everyday. We think what else we can do to help someone, so I made the sanitizer myself and we found some masks. We'll give them out until we run out."
