International participants from the non-profit Up with People painted the LAFAYETTE sign on Tuesday to promote the 1,000 hours of community service they will be doing this week.

Here's a video they sent us of the painting:

The group also will be presenting an international performance of song and dance at Angelle Hall, Saturday September 14th @ 7pm.

The group of 100 from 14 countries has been busy doing community service with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Acadiana, Habitat for Humanity, Parks and Rec, Acadiana Animal Aid, and many more.

Their show on Saturday aims to promote hope through music and action, and our various components of travel, advocacy, and performance are depicted on the LAFAYETTE sign.

Tickets to the show are on sale at upwithpeople.org/Lafayette.
