UL Lafayette will host the tenth annual Professional Career Reception on Wednesday, December 2,

The event, which has gone virtual due to the state's return to a modified Phase 2, will take place from 4:00-6:00 p.m. via the Brazen online software.

Job seekers who registered for the in-person event, will need to register for the virtual event.

The web-based software allows job seekers to create a profile and upload a resume in Brazen. During the event job seekers will be able to participate in text-based chats with hiring managers via smartphone, tablet, or desktop.

Job seekers will be able to virtually meet with hiring managers from a variety of companies that are currently hiring for openings in management, finance and banking, engineering, technology, software development, customer service, accounting, marketing, healthcare and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and to dress professionally.

The event is hosted by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Department of Career Services, the Louisiana Workforce Commission, One Acadiana, Acadiana Workforce Solutions, and the Lafayette Economic Development Authority.

“The career reception provides an intimate atmosphere for job seekers to connect with companies that are looking to fill professional positions,” said Ryan LaGrange, LEDA’s Manager of Workforce Development. “This is a great opportunity for experienced professionals and recent graduates to meet with local hiring managers.”

A current list of participating employers and preregistration information is available at www.lafayette.org/jobfair. Job seekers should register via Brazen and fully complete their profiles, including uploading their resumes.
