Two men have been arrested in connection with a home invasion death in the Duson area.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office arrested 18-year-old Korl "Korel" Francis and 26-year-old Donta Francis on Friday February 14 in connection with the fatal shooting.
Both were booked on First Degree murder charges and remain in jail. No bond was set.
The the shooting and home invasion happened on January 27, 2019, in the 300 block of Bopamo Lane. There, 33-year-old Shenard Simmons of Duson a resident of the home was shot and killed.
A second person who was at the residence was not injured.
