Two people have been arrested Monday, October 14 following a chase involving a stolen vehicle on Hwy 182.
Broussard Police Chief Brannon Decou says that officers were attempting to stop a stolen vehicle when it fled down Hwy 182 towards New Iberia.
During the pursuit, Decou says that an occupant in the vehicle threw something from the window. Officers are currently trying to locate that item.
Spike strips were deployed onto the highway and the vehicle was eventually stopped.
The suspect did sideswipe another vehicle in the process of trying to evade officers.
Chief Decou says that two suspects are in custody at this time. No injuries were reported.
